The Local Mountain Bike scene offers some major fun during the Summer and Fall. Head a bit south of Mammoth Lakes and you can keep in shape riding in the dirt all winter long.

Our goal for our Mtn Bike section is to develop an online guide with video and images of the trails You can Discover in the Forest and at the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park.

Mountain Bike News & Information for Mammoth Lakes and Mammoth Mountain

Welcome to the long forgotten Mt Biking Blog here at Discover Mammoth.

The season is over up on Mammoth Mountain! November was a bust for snowfall and that meant we got an extra month of riding on the lower Mammoth Mountain Bike Park Trails. Juniper was seeing a ton of downhill traffic the last few weeks. That's all over now with 6-10 inches of snow now on Paper Route, Juniper and Timber Ridge.

Mammoth Rock Trail is has had some brave riders with snow on about 95% of the trail. With the cold wave I would not go near that trail. If tonight and Monday's storm comes in then its all over till next spring.

Rock Creek Canyon: We have not been on the trail in about 10 days so no report from the discover team at this time.

Next Season we will be giving you a bi weekly Video Mtn Bike Report right from Mammoth Mountain Bike Park. Stay tuned... for now Winter is taking over.

We will update this blog weekly with news on Rock Creek Canyon Trail riding.

	Kamikaze Downhill Race 2007 - Mtn Biking Video The famous Kamikaze Race still takes place every year. To get to the start you ride the Gondola to 11,053 Feet! These days this race is a low key event held on a Thursday. Snowman was there last Summer 2007 to catch all the action. Click here for the video & write up.
	Velocity - Mtn Biking Video This trail is a very popular downhill trail that you access via the gondola. Exit at Mc Coy Station and follow the sign to downhill action. We are working on a fresh edit with new footage from last season. Look for that post in June! Click here for the Velocity Trail Video.
