5-17-2013 – Welcome to Mountain Biking in the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park and in the town of Mammoth Lakes, California.
Over the last week we have had rain at times. Thursday offered up more of the same shower activity.
Trails will be moist today Friday and again on Saturday before things dry out and warm up over the weekend.
The word from the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is they will open next Saturday with lower mountain trails: Downtown, Uptown, Big Ring, Lower Paper Route, Juniper, Timber Ridge, Shotgun, Lower Pipeline, Bullet, Lakes Trail, Lower Follow Me, Pioneer Practice Loop. Most these trails are no ready to ride on your own power, get out there and peddle your way into shape.
All the USFS trails are 100% melted out and ready to ride for the next 6 months. Check out our Inyo forest trail page for details.

Kamikaze Downhill Race 2007 – Mtn Biking Video
The famous Kamikaze Race still takes place every year. To get to the start you ride the Gondola to 11,053 Feet! These days this race is a low key event held on a Thursday. Click here for the video & write up.
Velocity – Mtn Biking Video
This trail is a very popular downhill trail that you access via the gondola. Exit at Mc Coy Station and follow the sign to downhill action. We are working on a fresh edit with new footage from last season. Look for that post in June! Click here for the Velocity Trail Video.
Shot Gun Trail – Mtn Biking Video

California State Downhill Championships – Mtn Bike Video
