Mountain Biking Mammoth Lakes, Mammoth Mountain & the Inyo

4-9-2015 – 8AM – Welcome to Mountain Biking in Mammoth Lakes.

We are now set up to have the longest mountain bike season on record here in Mammoth Lakes and out on Mammoth Mountain.  Earlier this week we reported all the snow being melted off below 8000 feet.

That is not the case anymore as we picked up 6-15 inches of snow on all our local trails in and out of town.    It’s going to take a few days to melt that snow off for traditoanl mountain bikers.   If you have a fat bike get out there and ride the fresh stuff!

Before the snow you could ride the Uptown/Downtown loop from the village to the garage.   Big Ring was also ridable with just a few patches of snow.   You could also ride Juniper and the Lakes Trail.   By Sunday most these trails should be ready to go once again.

Check out our Inyo Forest Trail page for details on trails out of the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park that are FREE to ride.
